Novark Technologies, Inc. was founded in 2004 in Shenzhen, China, and quickly became a recognized name in the thermal management industry. Novark first established itself as a qualified supplier of heat pipes to support the development of tier-one high-tech companies such as Microsoft, AMD, Sony, and Toshiba, then branched out into heat sinks and cold plates. Novark became known for their cost-effective and high-quality manufacturing processes and their agility in response to customer needs.
Novark’s team of highly skilled experts and nearly 1000 employees focus on the custom design, development, and manufacturing of Novark’s three product families. Novark supports thermal solutions in a wide variety of markets, including PC, telecom, industrial power, servers, data centers, transportation, LED Lighting, and many more. Novark also supports scientific research at many universities, and frequently supplies materials and prototypes to researchers.

Anna Baumgartner
Operations Leadership
Anna T. Baumgartner has been a leader in operations since 2008, after lecturing in mathematics both in the United States and abroad. Over the years, Anna has developed and implemented systems that streamline program delivery, focusing on operational efficiency. Anna’s operational leadership emphasizes sustainable growth, strategic partnerships, and community impact. Having lived and worked both in North America and in Asia throughout her career, Anna has gained extensive insights and understanding into working across cultures.
Anna has designed and run programs that integrate sales and operations with measurable success. She is recognized as a results-driven and innovative thinker, dedicated to improving operational outcomes through efficient and collaborative strategies.
Anna qualified as an ASK Method® Associate, focused on optimizing communications with relevant markets, and maintains active membership in the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, where is she an active participant in business initiatives.

L. Winston Zhang, Ph.D, P.E.

Engineering Leadership
Dr. Winston Zhang has been a part of the thermal management industry since 1996, after he received his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; he obtained his Professional Engineer’s license (P.E.) in the State of Wisconsin in 1999, and earned an MBA from Marquette University in 2001. Since then, Dr. Zhang has authored over 30 peer-reviewed papers in heat pipe technology, compact heat exchanger design, heat exchanger applications, and more. He has been awarded over 35 patents, and is recognized as an expert in the field of thermal engineering. Dr. Zhang is known as an enthusiastic and innovative thinker, with a commitment to excellence and exceptional dedication to his work.
Dr. Zhang maintains active membership in the following professional organizations:
- American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Recognized as an ASME Fellow
- Shenzhen Longgang Outstanding Experts Association, Recognized as an Outstanding Technology Expert
- Taiwan Thermal Management Associations (TTMA), Board member
- Track Co-Chair for the ASME 2017 and 2018 InterPACK conference
- The Asia Liaison for the annual IEEE Semiconductor Thermal Measurement and Management (Semi-Therm) Symposium since 2013.
In addition to his many personal and professional accomplishments in the field of thermal engineering, Dr. Zhang is actively involved with the following organization:
